DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee art collector Ken Marx will have stories behind the numerous paintings he loaned to Cedarburg Art Museum’s “Wisconsin Modernists” exhibition on display through June 3. For many years\, Marx has had a special interest in collecting the art of Carl Holty (1900-1973)\, an artist with Milwaukee roots that was known internationally. Marx has loaned six paintings by Holty along with other works to the Cedarburg Art Museum exhibition. Come learn about collecting art and the stories behind artists such as Lucia Stern\, Carl Holty\, Larry Rathsack\, Joseph Friebert\, Mary Nohl and others. \n
