DESCRIPTION:Theme: “Empower Her Periods” It is a fundraising event to support the girls of Bomet County in the Republic of Kenya so they may have sanitary pads during their monthly periods and be able to go to school. Studies have shown that a significant number of girls miss school during menstruations due to lack of sanitary pads. It is estimated that 10% to 20% of school days are lost every year\, girls opt to stay home during their periods every month as a way of protecting themselves from humiliation and bullying that come from their colleagues when they have accidents. \n
