DESCRIPTION:The Marquette University Symphony Orchestra\, lead by Music Director Robin Engl\, will perform their annual Mid-Winter Concert on Sunday\, February 21\, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre (1326 W. Wisconsin Ave. | Milwaukee\, WI 53233). \nFor this performance\, the MUSO will feature musical highlights from Leonard Bernstein’s famous\, “West Side Story”\, a twentieth century musical theatre drama representing a modern take on Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” set in the upper-west side of New York City in the 1950’s. The program will also include works by Handel\, Bach\, Grainger\, & Piazzolla. This performance is free and open to the public. \n
