Finalists are selected from public nominations by a 40-member\, independent\, cross-sector volunteer committee. Winners will be announced during a LIVE event Thursday\, August 27\, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. \nCategory nominees are: \nThe “Brewers Community Foundation Public Space Award” for public space that helps build the community. \n\nKilbourn-Kadish Park\nThe Kinnickinnic River Plaza\n\nThe “BMO Harris Cornerstone Award” for commitment and effectiveness over time. \n\nDominican Center\nNeighborhood House of Milwaukee\n\nThe “Chase Economic Development Award” for economic and business development. \n\nRISE MKE Entrepreneurial Training Program\nRiverworks Week\n\nThe “PNC Bank Navigator Award” for individual leadership. \n\nWilliam Krugler\, Milwaukee JobsWork\nSharon Jordan\, Direct Supply\, Inc.\n\nThe “Associated Bank Trailblazer Award” for an innovative approach to a community problem. \n\nThe Farm Project-El Proyecto Campesino\nWisconsin’s First Ever Deaf StorySlam\n\nThe “State Farm Building Blocks Award” for a real estate project that advances the community. \n\nSeven04 Place Apartments\nSherman Phoenix\n\nThe “Wells Fargo People’s Choice Award” will be given to finalists who receive the most public votes in August. The “Northwestern Mutual Collaboration Award” will also be given to a note-worthy nonprofit collaborative during the event. \n
