DESCRIPTION:Join Shoshana Resnikoff\, Demmer Curator of 20th and 21st Century Design\, for a one-hour exploration of themes and topics in the exhibition The Shakers: A World in the Making. \nThe Shakers: A World in the Making is organized by the Milwaukee Art Museum\, the Vitra Design Museum\, the Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia\, and the Wüstenrot Foundation\, in collaboration with Shaker Museum\, Chatham\, New York. \nThis drop-in experience is included with Museum admission and is free for Members. Admission tickets are available at the door or online. The Milwaukee Art Museum is grateful to its exhibition sponsors. \nMuseum Admission \nAdults: $27\, Kids 12 and under: Free\, Members: Free \nMeet the curator:\nShoshana Resnikoff joined the Milwaukee Art Museum in 2023 as the Demmer Curator of 20th- and 21st-Century Design\, overseeing the collection’s holdings of design\, decorative arts\, and craft made after 1900. In 2025\, she presented Meadow by DRIFT\, the second installation of the Winter Series in Windhover Hall. Her projects include the exhibition The Shakers: A World in the Making (2026). Prior to MAM\, Resnikoff was curator at The Wolfsonian–Florida International University\, where she focused on modern design\, decorative arts\, and material culture. There\, she co-curated A Universe of Things: Micky Wolfson Collects (2019) and curated Street Shrines (2022). She previously held curatorial positions at the Peabody Essex Museum\, Terra Foundation for American Art\, and Cranbrook Art Museum.
