SUMMARY:First Stage at MAM: Spring Bugs
DESCRIPTION:In Honor of Dr. Alfred Bader \nJoin First Stage for an imaginative\, hand-on exploration of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Using your voice\, body\, and big imagination\, you’ll act out the story together in this playful\, interactive experience designed for young learners (ages 2–10). After the program\, head into the European galleries to spot insects hidden in paintings from the Museum’s collection\, then drop into the Kohl’s Art Studio to create your own mixed-media moving bug anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. \nThis experience is free with Milwaukee Art Museum admission. Kids 12 and under are always free\, thanks to an anonymous donor. This program celebrates the legacy of Dr. Alfred Bader (April 28\, 1924–December 23\, 2018)\, whose passion for art and community continues to inspire creativity at the Museum. \n
