DESCRIPTION:In a spellbinding tale of passion gone awry\, the alluring Carmen draws the attention of two dangerous men\, leading to jealousy and obsession with deadly consequences. \nMark Godden’s Carmen is a gritty story of tantalizing sexuality and fierce independence performed to the iconic score by Rodion Shchedrin\, inspired by Georges Bizet’s opera. \nThe performance will open with a new work by choreographer Tsai Hsi Hung\, winner of the 2024 Genesis International Choreographic Competition. \nThis performance will take place at the Pabst Theater from May 16-18.
