DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with HYFIN\, this evening of live spoken word\, poetry\, and storytelling celebrates Black and Brown voices and brings together a blend of curated speakers with storytellers drawn from the audience. \nThis edition of AfterDark: For the Culture is a competitive StorySlam! At the end of the night\, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an Audience Favorite\, who will be invited to share a story at ALL STARS in May. \nWant to practice your story before the slam? Join us for the StoryStarter workshop from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. right before the event! \nCost: Tickets are $12 in advance\, $15 at the door.\nLimited Pay-it-forward tickets available! \n
