SUMMARY:A Sleep of Prisoners
DESCRIPTION:By Christopher Fry\nDirected by Elaine Wyler \n“Where\, in the maze of right and wrong\, are we to do what action?” Four prisoners of war are locked in a church in enemy territory. Deprived of food\, water\, rest and distractions\, each man is drawn deeper into his own struggles and those of his cellmates. Reality dissolves into a dream where the men play figures from the Bible in a story of obedience\, rebellion\, violence and peace. “One of the most interesting examples of contemporary religious drama.” — Journal of the English Association
