Wisconsin Jobs Now, AFT Local 212 Endorse Chevy Johnson

Chevy Johnson has announced the endorsements of a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders, and neighbors.

MILWAUKEE- Chevy Johnson, candidate for Second District Alderperson, is proud to announce the endorsements of Wisconsin Jobs Now and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local 212.

Mike Rosen, President of AFT Local 212, had this to say about the endorsement of Chevy, “We have noticed how hard Chevy has worked to advocate for working families during his election for Alderperson. We believe that Chevy will be a champion for social change both now and into the future.”

Chevy Johnson has announced the endorsements of a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders, and neighbors. Chevy is running against four opponents in the ‪February 16th‬ Primary Election. Chevy is committed to improving the city’s infrastructure, developing sustainable economic development, and better public safety. ‬‬

“Wisconsin Jobs Now and AFT Local 212 have had a profound impact on Milwaukee in terms of organizing and issue advocacy” noted Johnson. “I continue to be humbled by the support of meaningful organizations such as Wisconsin Jobs Now and AFT Local 212. I look forward to working with these organizations during my service on Milwaukee’s Common Council to help solve some of the most pressing issues facing our community.”

Chevy Johnson recently served as Staff Assistant to the Mayor of Milwaukee. A long time resident of the 2nd district, Chevy is committed to bringing responsible, accessible and dependable leadership to the Milwaukee Common Council. The primary election is February 16th, 2016‬ and the general election is April 5th, 2016‬.
