Milwaukee Press Club award-winning publication sees new vision as being right for district

MILWAUKEE – Marisabel Cabrera, Democratic candidate for the 9th Assembly district, today issued the following statement regarding the Wisconsin Gazette‘s endorsement:

“Today marks a special day in the campaign where a major Milwaukee publication has endorsed my candidacy and recognized the need for new leadership in the 9th district. It is great that people across the city will be able to pick up this award-winning publication and read about this crucial race.

“The Wisconsin Gazette supports our message of proactive representation leading to stronger communities with quality public schools, safer neighborhoods, and greater economic development. I am looking forward to being sworn in and taking our mutual values to Madison to produce real change. I am also thankful for their vote of confidence in my ability to get the job done.”

Marisabel Cabrera is a private-practice immigration attorney, a member of Milwaukee’s Fire and Police Commission, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin‘s Latino Caucus, and a candidate for Wisconsin’s 9th Assembly district in the Democratic primary election to be held August 9, 2016.
