MILWAUKEE— (February 14, 2017) VISIT Milwaukee, the region’s destination marketing organization responsible for branding the city and attracting conventions, events, business and leisure travel to the Greater Milwaukee area, has selected Milwaukee-based full-service agency Hanson Dodge as its new partner to oversee the development and launch of the new VISIT Milwaukee website. A total of 17 local and national agencies participated in the RFP process.

The project will completely reinvent VISIT Milwaukee’s website from the ground up, including expanded content, interactive maps, itinerary builders, international translations and resources, technology to support VR video and many other future enhancements.

“VISIT Milwaukee’s digital channels are at the core of our marketing strategy,” said Megan Suardini, vice president of marketing and communications for VISIT Milwaukee. “In the last five years, VISITMilwaukee.org traffic has grown by 65 percent. We know that if a prospective visitor lands on our website they are four times more likely to visit our city, which make this project key to growing Milwaukee’s future tourism economy.”

Founded in Milwaukee in 1981, Hanson Dodge has an award-winning track record of being first to market with new marketing and technology innovations and specializes at the strategic integration of branding, advertising, technology and digital commerce.

“As a national agency with a strong commitment to our local community, we’re excited to partner with VISIT Milwaukee and unleash our creative energy on the city that we love,” said Tim Dodge, president of Hanson Dodge.

The new website will also integrate VISIT Milwaukee’s other owned websites, including Milwaukee365.com and VISITWauwatosa.org. VISIT Milwaukee anticipates that the new website will be launched by the end of 2017.
