Alderman Willie C. Wade will join UW-Milwaukee men’s head basketball Coach Rob Jeter and Art Arnstein, president of United Milwaukee Scrap, during a turkey giveaway event at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, November 21, 2013) at the Dominican Center for Women, 2470 W. Locust St.

Alderman Wade said the event is aimed at making Thanksgiving a little brighter for families being served by the Dominican Center. “United Milwaukee Scrap is donating the turkeys, Coach Jeter and the UWM men’s basketball program are donating the fixings, and Wisconsin Community Services is providing $50 Pick n’ Save gift cards to each of the families,” he said.

“The partnership with Mr. Arnstein and United Milwaukee Scrap, with Coach Jeter and UWM and with Wisconsin Community Services is helping make the Thanksgiving holiday a better one for some families in need, and it is a very positive contribution to the community as well,” Alderman Wade said.

“I would like to thank United Milwaukee Scrap, UWM and Wisconsin Community Services for being partners in our efforts to uplift our community. I love it when we can work together,” he said.
