Tim Kenney of Milwaukee’s Jackson Park neighborhood filed for candidacy on Dec 2nd and is officially launching his campaign for Alderman in Milwaukee’s 11th District. Tim is a lifelong Milwaukee resident and has made District 11 his home the past 10 years.

Says Kenney, “It’s been a lifelong passion of mine to be actively involved in bettering my community, which is why I want to expand my service to Milwaukee’s south side and announce that I am running for District 11 Alderman. As an active community leader in the district, I strive to make Milwaukee a great place to live and raise a family, and will be a strong advocate for area residents. I have spent the last 17 years of my life in public service as a Federal employee and military veteran, where I learned to be a strong leader. I have worked diligently on many projects, including serving as KK River Cleanup Captain, helping create the Jackson Park Neighborhood Watch, serving on the Jackson Park Farmers Market Committee, participating in KK River Watershed parks planning and providing leadership on the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative Board of Directors. I will be a strong non-partisan leader focusing on issues the majority of residents can agree on, from safety and thriving schools to economic development. I want to help attract new growth to the area and engage the entire District like I have in my neighborhood.”

Priorities for Kenney’s campaign include: public safety, small-business promotion and growth, neighborhood collaboration and communication, education, Veterans, seniors, District residential promotion, and District public transportation/traffic. For more information, visit www.votekenney-d11.com.
