Celebration of Local Designers to Include Runway Shows and Pop-Up Boutiques

MILWAUKEE, WI (Wednesday, July 23, 2014) – Third Coast Style is pleased to announce its upcoming MKE Fashion Market on Saturday, October 18th, as the Fall 2014 centerpiece gathering for Milwaukee’s fashion industry. Set against the spiral staircases of the Grand Avenue Plankinton Arcade’s rotunda, the MKE Fashion Market will showcase the Fall lines of Milwaukee designers with runway shows at the top of each hour beginning at noon.
Members of the public will be able to meet local designers at galleries along the Arcade to purchase from runway and Ready-to-Wear collections, and commission high-quality, tailor-made apparel and accessories. The 6:00 p.m. finale runways will showcase Event Sponsors and a collaborative collection from Third Coast Style’s independent designers.
With the Spring/Summer 2015 runway season well underway, and the rest of the style world dictating distant warm-weather trends from far-off fashion capitals, the MKE Fashion Market will spotlight the energy-filled present of Fall 2014 on the Third Coast. Unique, unusual, and distinctively Milwaukee-focused runways will celebrate a city founded on quality manufacturing and renowned for a hard-working, charismatically creative spirit. A century-old architectural gem, the quadruple staircase of the Plankinton Arcade’s atrium plays a perfect host for Milwaukee’s Fall fashion gathering.
