The World’s Stage Theatre Company Presents The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at the Villa Terrace

Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30

Milwaukee, WI – The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum and The World’s Stage Theatre Company are proud to announce a special Halloween staged reading of Washington Irving’s The Legends of Sleepy Hollow directed by Christopher Cook. For two nights only, Thursday and Friday October 29 and 30, starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance from Brown Paper Tickets at the following link: http://sleepyhollowmke.bpt.me/ , or $12 at the door the night of the performance.

About The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
All is not what it seems in the quiet town of Sleepy Hollow. The year is 1795. Ichabod Crane, a schoolmaster arrives and takes up residence in the quaint town. Strange events begin to occur as he takes up relations with Katrina, the heiress of the Van Tassel fortune. A romantic rivalry brews for her affections. Cautionary tales of ghosts, ghouls and a headless horsemen, seeking revenge frighten the town. Dark secrets are revealed as the town’s fate unfolds!

About Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum
Overlooking Lake Michigan, this Italian Renaissance-style villa was designed by architect David Adler in 1923. Originally the residence of Lloyd Smith of the A.O. Smith Corporation and his family, the museum features fine and decorative arts dating from the 15th through the 18th centuries, wrought-iron masterpieces by Milwaukee’s most important craftsman Cyril Colnik, a formal Renaissance garden, changing exhibitions by local, regional, and international artists, and community events including theater, literature, poetry, arts education, and special events.
