CEDARBURG, WI: The Cedarburg Cultural Center (CCC) is proud to host the Cedarburg Artists Guild’s (CAG) Annual Juried Exhibit and sale from Saturday, August 16 through Sunday, October 12, 2014 in the Center’s Columbia St. Mary’s and Corridor Galleries. The CAG is comprised of approximately 260 local artists from Ozaukee and Washington Counties. The exhibit will feature selected works by its members in varied media such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, and jewelry. It is the CAG’s only juried exhibit and most artwork will be available for purchase. A public opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, September 5 from 6-9 pm. Complimentary appetizers and wine and will be served.

The exhibit will be juried by professional artists and gallery owners, Katie Gingrass and Bill DeLind, who will select works of art to be
included in the exhibit. Three blue ribbons and five red ribbons will be awarded by the jurors.

The public is once again invited to vote on a People’s Choice Award. Voting for the award will take place from Saturday, August 16 through Friday, September 5 at 1 pm.

Ozaukee and Washington County artists interested in submitting artwork for consideration into the exhibit should visit the CAG’s website at www.cedarburgartistsguild.com to download the full prospectus and entry labels.

The CAG has been holding an annual exhibit for more than 30 years. The exhibit has been held at the Cedarburg Cultural Center since the Center’s inception 29 years ago.

The mission of the Cedarburg Cultural Center is to provide a gathering place to celebrate community, arts and local heritage.

The Center is free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10 am-5 pm, and Sunday 12-4 pm. The Center is closed on Monday.

The galleries, classrooms, and restrooms of Cedarburg Cultural Center are wheelchair accessible.
