Supervisor Supports Constructive Reform But Disagrees With Current Draft of Reform Bill
Milwaukee – Supervisor Theodore Lipscomb, District 1 has issued the following statement after reviewing latest draft of Reform Bill LRB – 1340/2.
“I support constructive reform of Milwaukee County government, but it must maintain a true balance of power between the branches. The current bill draft explicitly restricts the oversight of the county board and expands the authority of the county executive; essentially, this would give the administration a blank check and unprecedented executive power.”
