MILWAUKEE — Following the news that Milwaukee County and developer Rick Barrett closed on the sale of the Downtown Transit Center, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 494 business manager, Dean Warsh, released the following statement.

The Couture is the next big step forward in Milwaukee’s ongoing renaissance. This project will not only generate millions of dollars in economic activity and thousands of jobs in the future, it will create good, family-supporting union jobs right now.

“I appreciate County Executive Chris Abele‘s strong leadership in making this project a reality and his vision for a better Milwaukee.”
