Milwaukee, Wis.Festival City Symphony (FCS) will continue its “Pajama Jamboree” season with “Let It Snow” — Holiday Pajama Jamboree, a free concert on Wed., Nov. 30, 2016, at 7:00 pm in the Bradley Pavilion of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

The concert will feature traditional holiday tunes as well as selections from Disney’s Frozen and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The evening will culminate in an audience sing along of seasonal favorites. Joining FCS are special guests from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music’s Suzuki strings program. In addition to performing, the guests will showcase a miniature violin and cello for children to try in a “string instrument petting zoo” before and after the concert.

The Suzuki strings program at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music offers classes for violin, viola, and cello. Suzuki studies can begin as early as age 3. More information will be available at the “Let It Snow” – Holiday Pajama Jamboree.

FCS encourages attendees to bring a nonperishable food donation for Milwaukee’s HUNGER TASK FORCE.

Unlike previous years, attendees should enter through the main entrance on 929 N. Water Street. If they park in the Marcus Center lot, they are welcome to use the third level skywalk.

All “Pajama Jamboree” concerts have free admission. Hosted by Education Director Jayne Perkins, these popular programs welcome children and their parents or grandparents to attend in casual dress or pajamas. The audience is invited to bring a blanket and sit on the floor, up close to “meet” the orchestra. Conventional seating is also available. Pajama Jamborees are best suited for children in K4 through fifth grade.
