Sen. Shilling statement on open government changes
Senate Democratic Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) released the following statement:
MADISON – After the Republicans on the Joint Finance Committee voted to gut Wisconsin’s long standing tradition of open government laws, Senate Democratic Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) released the following statement:
“Legislative Republicans are hiding behind a wall of secrecy as they sell out our state to the special interests behind Gov. Walker’s presidential campaign. The public should have every right to hold their elected officials accountable and maintain a system of government that is open, honest and free of corruption.”
