SEIU, Working Families Party Endorse Chevy Johnson for Alderman

Chevy Johnson has been endorsed by a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders and neighbors.

MILWAUKEE – Chevy Johnson, candidate for Second District Alderperson, proudly announces the endorsements of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Wisconsin Working Families Party (WWFP).

“Chevy Johnson will stand up for workers across the city of Milwaukee” said Dian Palmer, President of SEIU Wisconsin State Council. “Chevy has the skills and work ethic to be a champion of workers on the City Council. We look forward to his election as Alderperson.”

“We at Wisconsin Working Families Party believe that Chevy Johnson cares about the issues of working families on the Northside of Milwaukee and has the leadership necessary to address those very same issues with bold, progressive public policy” noted Eyon Biddle Sr., Deputy State Director of WWFP.

Chevy Johnson has been endorsed by a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders and neighbors.

I look forward to working with them to improve the conditions of workers and their families in the city of Milwaukee.”

Chevy Johnson recently served as Staff Assistant to the Mayor of Milwaukee. A long time resident of the 2nd district, Chevy is committed to bringing responsible, accessible and dependable leadership to the Milwaukee Common Council. The primary election is February 16th, 2016‬ and the general election is April 5th, 2016‬.
