RiverWest ArtWalk: 35th Anniversary!

New Collaboration with Toy Factory and Nut Factory in Riverwest!

Riverwest Artists Association is pleased to announce ArtWalk 2014, the 35th Anniversary of Wisconsin’s oldest and largest walking art tour, will take place on Saturday & Sunday, October 4th & 5th from noon-5pm.

Art Walk is a self-guided tour of fine arts studios and other art venues in Riverwest’s most vibrant homes, studios, galleries and businesses. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the public to see how artists work and live.

For just $5 for adults or $3 for seniors, students and free for children 12 and under, patrons will get a button and map that is good for the two days. Buttons and maps will be available at the following sites during ArtWalk weekend: Art*Bar (722 E.Burleigh); Riverwest Food Co-op (733 E. Clarke); and the Jazz Gallery (926 E. Center).

New this year, a number of artists will be exhibiting at the Toy Factory and Nut Factory in Riverwest!

The ArtWalk Art Party for the artists and public will be held at the The Jazz Gallery on October 4th from 5:30 –9pm so artists and public can socialize. Limited Edition ArtWalk 2014 T-shirts, designed by designed by Peggy McDowell Riverwest, and hand screen printed by Matthew Luther, will be available for $10 at the Jazz Gallery .

RAA ArtWalk was conceived in 1979 in collaboration with the Milwaukee Art Museum as a way to introduce the public to the way artists live and work.

ArtWalk is sponsored by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board and donations from local businesses.
