Paint Your Art Out: Live Painting Event, Exhibit & Artist Celebration Fundraiser

CEDARBURG, Wisc. (April 26, 2016) – The Cedarburg Cultural Center is proud to announce its Fourth Annual “Paint Your Art Out” Live Painting Event, Exhibit & Artist Celebration Fundraiser. The events and exhibit take place at the CCC, beginning on Saturday, May 21, when the public is invited to come between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm to visit the artists and see their pieces in the process of creation. The artworks created that day will be available for bid by silent auction throughout the duration of the exhibit as a fundraiser to benefit the Center’s arts programming. The Artist Celebration Fundraiser being held at the CCC that evening at 6 pm will be the first opportunity for Gala attendees to see the finished artworks. The Celebration will also feature a silent auction of art and art-related items, a “balloon pop” raffle, complimentary food truck, cash bar, desserts and live music by Tweed Funk.
Ten southeast Wisconsin artists are slated to participate in the events and exhibit, including Susan Burden, Paula DeStefanis, Susan Hale, Julianne Hunter, Annie Swarm Guldberg, Nancy Lohmiller, Terra Paulsen-Chmielewski, Brenda Peterson, Kitty Sturrock and Kelly Thompson. Each participating artist will be exhibiting a variety of other original artworks throughout the duration of the exhibit, with most artworks available for purchase.

ABOUT THE CEDARBURG CULTURAL CENTER
Located in the heart of historic downtown Cedarburg, the Cedarburg Cultural Center has been the cultural hub of the community for 30 years. We are the Center for Art, Music and History in Ozaukee County. We provide a gathering place to celebrate community, the arts, and local heritage. A free gallery with frequently changing exhibits surrounds the Center’s performance space, which features music, theatre, comedy and educational presentations. Our classrooms, galleries, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. The Cedarburg Cultural Center is free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
