MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Institute Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements on the false claims by Donald Trump that millions of fraudulent votes were cast in the 2016 election. One Wisconsin Institute prevailed in a federal lawsuit in July 2016 related to Gov. Scott Walker’s unconstitutional voter rights restrictions in Wisconsin in part because the state couldn’t prove voter fraud has occurred in the state.

“The only fraud in our elections are partisan politicians like Donald Trump and Gov. Scott Walker manipulating the voting laws for political gain. Republican elected officials in Wisconsin have shrieked about voter fraud for decades, but when push comes to shove and under oath, they produced nothing.”

One Wisconsin Institute is a non-partisan, progressive research and education organization dedicated to a Wisconsin with equal economic opportunity for all.
