Local entrepreneur Nicholas (Nick) Hunt has officially entered the race for 15th District County Supervisor and was the first candidate to have met all necessary signature requirements to qualify for the ballot this February.

Nick hopes to bring a unique dynamic to the board, using his experience as the owner and operator of several small businesses, as well as in depth financial proficiency.

Nick has previously served as a Cost Accountant and Senior Financial Analyst for General Electric (GE) and as a Senior Financial Analyst and Regional Controller for Johnson Controls (JCI).

“I am running for 15th District County Supervisor because my community is very important to me.

I live here, I own businesses here and I raise my children here. I want to dedicate myself to ensuring that it is the best it can possibly be. I believe my professional background in preparing complex financial budgets, performing detailed financial analysis and managing to an approved budget will add to the depth of our Milwaukee County Board.”

As a further commitment to tax payers, if elected, Nick pledges to immediately accept the reduced wages and benefits under Act 14, otherwise not set to take affect for the position until 2016.

“While parts of Act 14 remain debatable, there is no reason to milk the system for another year. The voters have clearly spoken in last spring’s referendum that this money could be better spent maintaining our parks and services the citizens have come to expect. For me, this is about working For the Community. Not For The Check.”
