Milwaukee Youth Council to hold inauguration ceremony

The City of Milwaukee Youth Council will hold an inauguration ceremony for its 2012-2013 term.

The City of Milwaukee Youth Council will hold an inauguration ceremony for its 2012-2013 term when it meets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (November 14) at City Hall. The Youth Council will also elect officers during the meeting.

The Youth Council, with 13 of its 15 seats filled (4th District and 13th District currently vacant), was engaged and active during the previous term, speaking out on a range of issues, including violence prevention, federal college student loans, education issues (Milwaukee Public Schools), student unemployment, voter registration for high school seniors, the Mayfair Mall’s youth policy, community cleanup needs, and others.
