Milwaukee Cocktail Week (MKECW) is back again beginning Monday, September 25th, running through Sunday, October 1st. MKECW has partnered with local cocktail and event venues around Milwaukee to host a series of fun and interactive cocktail and distilled spirit events, parties, tastings, and cocktail dinners.

This year, for the first time, Milwaukee Cocktail Week is in the capable hands of the Milwaukee Chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG), an organization of professional bartenders dedicated to the advancement of their craft and the improvement of the bar scene to the customer. The USBG in Milwaukee is made up of some of the very best bartenders in the city, and they are excited to present this week of cocktail-inspired events!

The event week kicks off with a party starting at 7pm at The Tin Widow. Located on S. 2nd street in Walker’s Point, The Tin Widow is known for its enormous gin selection and specialty cocktail menu. As a service industry favorite, The Tin Widow is the perfect place to commence the shenanigans. This event is also a fundraiser for a new “Barman’s Fund” hosted through the USBG. This fund grants relief dollars to injured or ill bartenders and other service industry professionals who do not have insurance.

The week continues with various happy-hour, prime-time, and late-night events scattered about the city. For the complete and most up-to-date schedule of events, visit www.MilwaukeeCocktailWeek.com, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter. #MKECW #MKECW2017

About Milwaukee Cocktail Week:

Milwaukee Cocktail Week (MKECW) was founded in 2013 by Brian West, publisher of the Milwaukee-based beverage culture publication Alcoholmanac Magazine, as an effort to raise awareness surrounding the burgeoning cocktail scene in Milwaukee. Past collaborators in this event week have been Bittercube, a Milwaukee-based cocktail bitters and consulting company, and #MKEfoodies, an events-marketing organization which plans and executes food-related events and experiences showcasing the best of the best in and around Milwaukee, WI. This year, the event week is organized and executed by the Milwaukee chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG). The week itself is comprised of cocktail- and distilled-spirit-centered events around the city hosted by some of Milwaukee’s favorite cocktail venues and presented by brands — both local and national — that support the advancement of the cocktail scene in Milwaukee. A complete schedule of events can be found at www.MilwaukeeCocktailWeek.com, or by following @MKECW on Facebook or Twitter. #MKECW #MKECW2017
