MILWAUKEE… The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) is pleased to announce a partnership with Creative Capital to launch a year-long Professional Development series in order to improve business practices for all creatives throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Starting in June, MARN will offer one Creative Capital webinar each month for a full year. Each workshop is led by an expert in their field, and designed to teach the business, marketing and management skills needed to be an independent professional.

“Web Site, Blog & Email Essentials with Sue Schaffner” will introduce the series on Thursday, June 16, 6 – 7:30 p.m. in Material Studios + Gallery’s Conference Room (207 E. Buffalo Street, Suite 600).

This workshop provides creatives with an overview of best practices for their website, blog, and email marketing and communications, as well as case studies of artists who have established innovative and effective web presences.

Each webinar is instructed in real-time, giving MARN participants the opportunity to ask questions. Webinars are also recorded by Creative Capital and shared with each MARN participant to re-watch at any time.

In 2003, Creative Capital launched their Professional Development Program to share with a wider community of artists some of the tools and strategies for improved self-sufficiency. Creative Capital has since become the leader in professional development for artists.

The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) is a non-profit, Milwaukee-based organization that contributes to a thriving arts community by responding to the range of arts-related talent in the Southeastern Wisconsin region. Through offering professional tools and resources for sustainable market cultivation, we support local talent in identifying their level of development and we encourage innovative production.
