Mandel Group Commences Denim Park Summer Music Series, Launches New Bublr Bikes Station

MILWAUKEE, WI | Milwaukee‐based developer Mandel Group, Inc. announced that it will host its fourth annual summer music series at Denim Park. The park, at 1551 N. Water St, is part of Mandel Group’s North End Development. In conjunction with the music series kickoff event, there will be an opening ceremony for the brand new Bublr Bike station located at corner of Water and Pleasant Streets. This new Bublr location will be a neighborhood amenity to the Aperture apartments, the latest addition to The North End, as well as patrons of the newly opened Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. To commemorate the opening of the new station, Mandel Group is providing one week of free Bublr Bikes rides for its downtown residents and all of its employees.

Denim Park Music Series
Denim Park is a 5,500 square foot park meant to provide recreational space for the North End neighborhood. The Denim Park Summer Music Series is the brainchild of developer Barry Mandel – who has supported the music series since its beginning.

The fourth season of the Denim Park Music Series begins, June 8th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm and will take place every Wednesday until August 10th. This free event is open to the public. Building on the success of years past, this year’s band will include artists such as Vitrolum Republic and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Guests are invited to bring their friends and leashed dogs, and come hungry. Fresh Thyme Farmers Market – now open across the street has an array of fresh and hot foods as well as an expansive beer and wine selection.

Bublr Bikes Station Opening and Free Bublr Bike Rides
Mandel Group will officially open the newest Bublr Bikes station 6 pm this evening, June 8th. This station is located at the intersection of Water and Pleasant Street in front of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market at the North End. To commemorate the opening of this new station Mandel Group, Inc. will offer FREE unlimited 30-minute Bublr Bikes rides to all of its over 1,200 Downtown Milwaukee residents. The FREE Bublr Ride promotion ends June 13th, 2016. In addition to this resident promotion, Mandel is underwriting Annual Bublr Passes for all of its 150+ employees.

In addition to the promotions above, Mandel Group, Bublr Bikes’ largest private supporter, is also offering a reduced-priced Annual Bublr Passes to all residents. Annual Bublr Passes, available on the Bublr website, cost $80 per year and include unlimited 60-minute rides. Any ride over 60 mins. cost $3 each additional 30. Mandel is offering Annual Bublr Passes to all Downtown residents for only $60. Mandel’s significant financial support of Bublr Bikes is underwriting this benefit.

To date, Bublr Bikes, a Milwaukee-based not-for-profit, has launched 40 bike share stations in and around Milwaukee’s downtown. This summer, Bublr Bikes plans to add close to 20 additional stations and over 200 bikes. In the coming years the system plans to expand to over 100 stations and 800 Bublr Bikes.

Bike share programs already operate in dozens of U.S. cities, including Chicago, Denver, Des Moines, Houston, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Madison, Minneapolis, New York City and Omaha.
