MILWAUKEE – Celebrate Festa Italiana with ease and convenience by taking the bus! The Milwaukee County Transit System’s (MCTS) offers two easy ways to get to Festa Italiana, held July 22-24, 2016, at Henry Maier Festival Park: Downtown Shuttle service along Wisconsin Avenue and Freeway Flyers from three park-ride lots.

DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttles provide service roughly every 30 minutes from 11:00 am to 12:30 am on Friday, July 22 and on Saturday, July 23; and from 9:30 am to 11:30 pm on Sunday, July 24. Buses operate in both directions along Wisconsin Avenue. When traveling to Festa Italiana, the Shuttle stops between N. 6th Street and N. Jackson Street, then proceeds directly to the Mid Gate. Stops are made at all bus stops marked with the Summerfest smile logo.

• M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass: Free

Round-trip: Children (ages 6 – 11), seniors (65 and over) and persons with disabilities with proper ID. Children under 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.

• MCTS M•CARD: $1.25
• Cash: $1.50
• MCTS M•CARD with a 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass: Free

LOCAL ROUTES
MCTS also serves downtown with numerous local routes from all over Milwaukee County. Many local routes connect with the Downtown Shuttle. For all local routes, regular bus fares apply ($2.25 cash or $1.75 M•CARD).

FREEWAY FLYER SERVICE
Freeway Flyer service is provided during all hours of the festival, beginning 30 minutes before the event and ending 30 minutes after the event. Frequency of service is approximately every 30 minutes. For Sunday Mass, there will be early morning service and buses (including Shuttles) will drop off at South Gate.

Festival-goers can catch a Freeway Flyer from the following park-ride lots:

• Brown Deer East – Brown Deer Road, west of I-43
• College – College Avenue, at I-94, north and south lots
• State Fair Park – I-94, S. 76th and W. Kearney Street

• Cash – $6.50
• MCTS M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass OR Valid Transfer – Tap card. Will be charged an additional $2.

Round-trip: Children (ages 6 – 11), seniors (65 and over) and persons with disabilities with proper ID. Children under 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.

• MCTS M•CARD or Cash – $3
• MCTS M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass OR Valid Transfer – Tap card. Will be charged an additional 80 cents.

Pay full amount of fare when boarding the Downtown Shuttle or Freeway Flyer to Festa Italiana. Exact fare required.  On the Shuttle and Freeway Flyer, U-PASS (summer semester only), GO Pass, Freedom Pass and Commuter Value Pass are accepted as full fare.
