Milwaukee, WI— River Rhythms, downtown’s destination for music on Wednesday evenings welcomes Hugh Bob and the Hustle to the stage this week Wednesday, August 26th. The free concert series takes place from 6:30-9 p.m. and will wrap up the season tomorrow in Pere Marquette Park on Old World Third St. between State and Kilbourn.

River Rhythms is looking forward to hosting this native Milwaukee group that has recently hit it big touring nationally, while also appearing on ABC show Nashville. Hugh Bob and The Hustle’s website describes the band as “Masterson’s blend of hard luck stories and backwoods whimsy with crisp twang, high lonesome harmonies, and heartland rock n’ roll is an aesthetic called “North Country”. It’s similar in spirit to country in its earnestness and its ties to American folk traditions, but details the plight of folks up North. Masterson has garnered favorable comparisons to Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Prine, Alan Jackson, and Dwight Yoakam.”

Miller products, wine and soda will be available at the Westown Beverage tent with all proceeds going to benefit the free event. Patrons can also enjoy food from Simmer Truck, Eats and Treats, Cousins Subs and Laura’s Gourmet Popcorn.
