Get Rid of Household Hazardous Waste Friday & Saturday at State Fair Park
(For Milwaukee County residents ONLY)
(Milwaukee, WI) – The Dukes of Hazardous Waste are at State Fair Park this Friday and Saturday. There’s no charge to visit a collection site and you don’t even have to get out of your car to properly dispose compact fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil, rechargeable batteries, etc. at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s (MMSD) Household Hazardous Waste Program.
We’ve collected 16 million pounds of hazardous waste since the program started in 1997.
The first mobile collection of 2014 takes place at State Fair Park, gate 8, just off South 76th. Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 11 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 12.
Three facilities are open all year in Milwaukee, Franklin, and Menomonee Falls.
