Garfield Avenue Festival comes to Bronzeville Saturday

The free festival brings neighbors together to celebrate with plentiful music and entertainment, food, prizes, games and children’s activities.

The 15th annual Garfield Avenue Blues, Jazz, Gospel & Arts Festival will take place tomorrow (Saturday, July 21) in the Bronzeville African American Cultural Arts and Entertainment District of Milwaukee on W. Garfield Ave. between N. 4th and N. 7th Streets, said Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, whose 6th Aldermanic District includes the festival area.

The family-friendly festival, first organized by Andre Lee Ellis as a way of showcasing and honoring local artists and musicians, will run from noon to 8 p.m.

The free festival brings neighbors together to celebrate with plentiful music and entertainment, food, prizes, games and children’s activities.
