MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) and the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) are teaming up to reward bus riders. From December 11 – 18th, M•CARD pass holders will receive $3 off general Museum admission during MPM’s Streets of Old Milwaukee reopening week.

The MPMs Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit, presented by the Rexnord Foundation, will reopen on Friday, December 11th, after a four-month closure. Streets has been closed to the public while undergoing a renovation and reimagination process in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

The exhibit highlights public transportation’s important role in Milwaukee. Visitors will enter Streets via a new life-sized street car that, through clever use of technology, will take the visitor on a journey back in time to Milwaukee’s yesteryear. They will exit into a new courtyard highlighting some of Milwaukee’s industrialized businesses, like the Falk Company, North Side Lumber and even a streetcar garage.

The MCTS M•CARD can be bought online or at any one of more than 90 retail outlets across Milwaukee County. The MCTS M•CARD is a high tech, affordable and reusable way to pay for bus service. Riders can load passes or Stored Cash Value on the card, and every time they use it they save money versus paying with cash ($1.75 vs $2.25).To take advantage of this exclusive $3 discount at the Streets of Old Milwaukee, riders must present their M•CARD at MPM ticket windows. Offer good for one person per card. Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer.
