Democratic Party of Wisconsin Statement On House Democrats’ Sit-In
"I applaud Wisconsin leaders like Rep. Gwen Moore, Rep. Mark Pocan, Rep. Ron Kind, and Sen. Tammy Baldwin for common-sense solutions to prevent tragedies like the recent mass shooting in Orlando."
MADISON – Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair released the following statement with respect to House Democrats refusing to leave the House floor until Republicans hold a vote on common-sense gun reform legislation:
“I applaud Wisconsin leaders like Rep. Gwen Moore, Rep. Mark Pocan, Rep. Ron Kind, and Sen. Tammy Baldwin for common-sense solutions to prevent tragedies like the recent mass shooting in Orlando. They stand with the millions of Americans affected by gun violence who are looking for real leadership from Washington D.C. on this critical issue.
“The American people are calling out for common-sense solutions, like preventing terrorists and people on the no-fly list from being able to purchase firearms. I’m so proud of the leadership Wisconsin’s Congressional delegation displayed to make our country safer.”

During his tenure as Governor, Scott Walker has rammed destructive, anti-worker policies through the Republican-controlled legislature.
"Just three weeks into the Trump Presidency, major national security risks have reared their head..."
"Of course the people of Charleston are deeply offended by Rep. Sean Duffy's comments..."
Rep. Sean Duffy has rebuffed Wisconsin values at every turn, but today he took his act to a new low.
Even as millions of Americans, including business leaders, express their displeasure with the law, Rep. Sean Duffy wasted no time jumping on President Trump's cruel and un-American bandwagon.
"This is an incredibly important ruling for the people of Wisconsin and our democracy."
