Brewers Line Begins Service on Opening Day

MILWAUKEE – Getting to Miller Park to cheer on the Brewers has never been easier with the MCTS Brewers Line getting you straight to the game. Catch the Brewers Line (Route 90 – Miller Park) bus along Wisconsin Avenue and travel directly to the MCTS transit area at Miller Park starting with the season home opener on April 6th.
The Brewers Line serves all home games and helps fans avoid traffic and parking hassles.
“As the Brewers begin another exciting season, Milwaukee County and MCTS are happy to pitch in to help fans see every hit, homerun and win,” said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. “The Brewers Line is a safe, affordable and quick alternative to driving and another way we are helping people enjoy everything Milwaukee has to offer.”
The Brewers Line (Route 90 – Miller Park) is provided for all Brewers home games, buses operate every 30 minutes for two hours before game time. For the home opener and Marquee games with projected heavy attendance, buses will operate more frequently. Return trip bus service leaving Miller Park operates for a half-hour after the end of the game.
Brewers Line bus stops are located at the Downtown Transit Center and along Wisconsin Avenue from Jackson Street to 38th Street. Look for electronic destination signs on the bus that display “Let’s Go Brewers!” Buses drop passengers off at the MCTS transit area on Yount Drive on the north side of Miller Park. On the return trip, buses leave the ballpark from the MCTS transit area and serve all eastbound bus stops.
Brewers fans can also ride the GoldLine (Wisconsin – UWM), Route 23 (Fond du Lac-National) or the BlueLine (Fond du Lac-National), all of which offer stops within walking distance of Miller Park.
Fares each way for the Brewers Line, GoldLine, Route 23 and BlueLine are $2.25 for adults paying cash and $1.75 if you use your M•CARD, children aged 6-11 pay only $1.10. Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.

Imagine that, a flexible bus line that can go to events as they are happening and then used for other events such as Summerfest or the Harley Anniversaries. Sounds alot better than a railed inflexible trolly
Yes this single bus line that goes a mile down Wisconsin Ave. is clear proof that buses are the only viable form of public transportation in the world.
Unless you’re a developer & looking to build housing, office, retail… wait, pretty much anything at all. In those cases you want the guarantee that the transit won’t be moved a mile away after you start construction on your project.
Tim, so you think the bus lines downtown are all going away unless they are fixed rail? Is your plan to have trolleys on every street?
