Attorneys and judges rally behind Gwen Connolly in race for Circuit Court Judge
Milwaukee—Gwen Connolly today announced the endorsement of more than 160 additional attorneys and eleven more current and former judges in her race for Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branch 44, underlining her broad support in the legal community. “I am humbled by the outpouring of support I have received since entering this race,” said Connolly. “I look forward to continuing to talk to voters, hearing their concerns about our current justice system, and earning support as I seek a seat on the Circuit Court.”
Gwen Connolly has practiced law for more than two decades in Wisconsin, and she is widely considered an expert in family law and consumer fraud. Connolly has worked to protect consumers against auto fraud, creditor harassment, and wrongful repossession, and has litigated hundreds of cases. She has consistently been named as a Super Lawyer of Wisconsin, received the Presidential Award of Excellence from the State Bar of Wisconsin, and has earned honors from the Association of Women Lawyers and the Wisconsin Law Journal. Connolly has also been honored for her pro bono work by both the State Bar of Wisconsin and Legal Action of Wisconsin, and received a Recognition of Service Award from the American Legion of Wisconsin. She currently serves as president of the Collaborative Foundation of Wisconsin and is the immediate past president of the Association of Women Lawyers Foundation. Connolly has given back to her community and works as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Action of Wisconsin, and has volunteered for the Hunger Task Force and the St. Vincent de Paul meal program. Gwen Connolly received her Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School, where she graduated with honors, and her Bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. She is married to Brent Bedwell, a federal Administrative Law Judge, and is the mother of three very active boys who attend public schools in Milwaukee.
