Assembly Passes Property Rights Package

Bills will restore citizens rights to develop their own property

MADISON, Wis. — Today the Assembly passed two bills restoring the rights of individuals, small businesses and farmers. Americans for Prosperity – Wisconsin Deputy State Director Annette Olson issued the following statement in response to passage:

“Property rights are the bedrock of a free society and sound economy,” said Olson. “Today the Assembly, under the leadership of Representative Adam Jarchow, took a crucial step toward protecting that right to property and making sure citizens are not cited, fined or treated like toxic polluters for taking care of their own land.”

“These bills solidify the rights of the average property owner against a potentially overreaching government,” said Olson. “We encourage the Senate to give these bills strong consideration before the end of session.”

Pity the poor land owner at the most downstream location, especially if they are the most ecologically minded of all. If one looks at all … and I mean all the infractions the Koch Bros. industries/Americans for prosperity have been cited for, you would see that most are for polluting waterways. These folks need to be institutionalized w/ all funds returned to the land/sky/water to do our best to undo their damage.
