Downtown Milwaukee’s Cathedral Square Park, 520 E. Wells St., is transforming into “Community Spirit Park” as part of the 19th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival. Decorated by over 90 schools and non-profits throughout metro Milwaukee, each tree represents a class theme or wish demonstrated through handmade ornaments. Cathedral Square Park decorating began Thursday, Nov. 9 and will continue through Nov. 15. Over the six-day decorating period, 2,900 students will participate.

“Community Spirit Park” at Cathedral Square Park is one of three downtown parks decorated for the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival. The lights of Cathedral Square Park, Pere Marquette Park and Zeidler Union Square will officially be turned on at the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival Kick-Off Extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 in Pere Marquette Park.
