10th Annual Henry W. Maier State of Milwaukee Summit Addresses Race Relations

MILWAUKEE_“A Frank Conversation About Race in Milwaukee” is the topic for the 10th Annual Henry W. Maier State of Milwaukee Summit, to be held Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in the UWM Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts. A panel of civic and community leaders will discuss a variety of issues related to racial division and inequality in Milwaukee and possible ways to address these problems.
The panelists are:
— Anne Bonds, UWM associate professor of geography and urban studies
— Rev. Willie Brisco, WISDOM/MICAH
— Ald. Ashanti Hamilton, Milwaukee Common Council
— Keisha Krumm, Common Ground
— Susan Lloyd, Zilber Family Foundation
This event will be moderated by Robert Smith, UWM associate professor of history and urban studies. It is free and open to the public.
Sponsors include the Henry W. Maier Fund and various UWM entities: the Center for Economic Development; the Cultures and Communities program; the Center for Community-Based Learning, Leadership, and Research; the Urban Studies Programs; and the College of Letters and Science.
