Kate House grew up in Milwaukee and is currently retired. As a child, she was interested in many creative outlets and art was always her favorite class. While working full time as an adult, she studied Graphic Arts, with Design being her strongest subject. Kate later graduated from UWM with a BBA in Marketing/Language and during her business career attained a Masters in Project Management.

House’s early hobbies were travel, photography and woodworking. More recently her interests grew to include scrapbooking, card making and crafts.  The artist’s current focus is in jewelry making, initially begun for herself and friends.  Last year, “Made*By*Kate Jewelry” was formally launched for local retail sales. Each piece is a unique design using brilliant crystals, art glass, quality glass beads and fine polished stones. Some of the items she creates include multi-strand bracelets, earrings, necklaces and polished Jasper quartz pendants.
