Walker’s Point Center for the Arts and the Coalition of Photographic Arts are pleased to present CoPA’s 6th Annual Midwest Juried Photo Exhibition, an annual opportunity for emerging and established artists from Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota to exhibit their Chris Norris, "Winter Wonderland" photography. This Year’s jurors are Annemarie Sawkins (former Associate Curator, Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University) and Graeme Reid (Assistant Director, Museum of Wisconsin Art).
About the Jurors:
Born in England, Annemarie Sawkins graduated from McGill University with a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. After 13 years as a curator at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University, she is now an independent curator and art consultant working on a major exhibition the Ackland Art Museum, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which opens in February of 2013. Annemarie often writes for exhibition catalogues and is a frequent juror, having critiqued everything from artists portfolios to short films.
Born in Scotland, Graeme Reid graduated from the University of Glasgow and Indiana State University with Master’s Degrees from both universities. With 19 years experience in arts management/curatorial work, Graeme is currently Assistant Director at the Museum of Wisconsin Art. Over the years, he has curated over 120 group and solo exhibitions, as well as worked on the development and installation of institutional collections. He is an experienced judge on the local, regional, and national level and an award-winning writer in the arts. Graeme has taught Art History and Humanities at Indiana State University and Purdue University. He is a regular guest lecturer at various Wisconsin institutions.
