Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?

I work at ETE REMAN as the Catalog Manager. My role is amazing because of the people at ETE. Leadership actively encourages employees to take initiative and solve problems in new ways. My colleagues treat one other (and our customers) like family.

How long have you lived in Milwaukee and what brought you here?

I’ve lived in Milwaukee for about a year and a half now. My wife and I had been talking about moving here for the past few years since she grew up in the area. We found ourselves with an opportunity to take a step forward with our careers, so we sold our house and made the move.

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

The culture – and food. There is so much going on every weekend. The more I venture out and participate, the more I enjoy the area.

What is something that is missing from our community that you would love to see implemented?

I think Milwaukee is doing a great job providing young professionals a place to work and play. Every time I bring someone to visit, they’re surprised with the laid back vibe of the city and its people. We need to do a better job telling the world how great it is here – so it’s not a surprise when they finally come visit.

What is one word that you would use to describe Milwaukee?

Interactive.

What local restaurant is at the top of your list?

I live in the Washington Heights neighborhood, so my opinion is biased towards that side of town, but… Juniper 61 is always high on my list.

You should take the tour and climb to the top of the North Point Lighthouse in Lake Park. On a clear day one can see for 20 miles. We’re open every Sat & Sun from 1-4 pm year round.
