For many, Racine might as well be 100 miles away, but Milwaukee’s oft-overlooked southern neighbor has plenty to offer. To encourage collaboration between the two cities, on April 27th a group from Milwaukee will make a quick trip to the Racine Art Museum. There they will meet with the individuals from the Young Professionals of Racine and be able to enjoy some local food and drink.

Door-to-door transportation between the two cities will be provided by a reserved car on the Amtrak Hiawatha Service and a shuttle bus to the art museum. Local leaders, including Urban Milwaukee’s Jeramey Jannene, will give speeches along the way.

A ticket is required for this program and costs $27.24 (fees included). An extremely limited quantity of tickets remain to this event, book now to guarantee your seat.

Program Schedule

The Amtrak Hiawatha Service leaves at 5:45 p.m. on April 27th. Attendees should arrive by 5:30 p.m. to avoid being left behind. A return train is scheduled to arrive back in Milwaukee at 9:45 p.m.

Program Location

The train will leave from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station (433 W. St. Paul Ave.).

Well, this is a splendid idea! Racine really is a nice place these days – went to that very musuem and some very nice international-cuisine restaurants last summer with my girlfriend, and it did a lot to convince her to be willing to move back to WI.

A reserved car on the HIA? Should definitely be a regular occurrence. Especially with a speech from the venerable Jannene.
