Seriously one of the best Burgers in MKE served by some of the nicest staff around. Oscar is a top notch guy who always sez hello and has a hand ready to shake.

BTW, the bloody is killer too.

I’m glad that there’s a parking lot at Oscar’s. I’ve never been there but now would like to give it a try. Thanks for the great article and research, Michael Horne!

The burgers aren’t simply “one of the best,” they are far and away the best.

I love Oscars Pub! My oldest daughter turned me on to this place, and now we recommend it to everyone who asks ” where can I get a really good burger?”. Forget soblemans and aj bombers…OSCARS OSCARS all the way!!!

OSCAR’S. ..IS Your answer for the search of Milwaukee’s finest burgers….homemade fries. ..and a full line of your choice of beer…..and all the staff remembers your name!…You can always tell a fun place by the smiles of the staff and hands on work by Oscar…A new landmark for Milwaukee’s valley and more….

I think Kessner Ct might give Bettinger a run for its money on shortest street. Plus Kessner is an urban dream with it being car-free!

Love the tidbits about the history of the area when you do these.

My dad grew up across the street man I wished I’d of listened to his stories better. My grandpa and him frequented ‘markels’
The factory used to have broken windows that he and his friends broke when they were kids, they were still that way in the 70s lol
Gosh he loved that neighborhood and I never realized the connection until I took my mom to oscars and she told me about markels. I imagine them sitting in that bar so many years ago. Wish I could go back and ask the Markels if they knew my family well.

I believe Brunks Lane in Bay View holds the record for the shortest street. It only has one house on it and is more or less a driveway.
