So who won bragging rights? Guys or the gals? Curious readers want to know!
@Tim Ha. The guys won, but my gf almost brought the ladies back with a late charge. She had a 17 minute lap to finish the race after completing multiple laps that forced us to pick it up late, unreal). The overall standings are now 2-1, guys with the lead.
For the record, team PANCAKES has never once, in 4 years of racing, carried the manifest up the stairs without a bike. We could tell you which teams have – but that maneuver was confirmed to be within the rules this year.
Chris, the rider who ended up in the hospital because of an irresponsible cyclist, is doing okay and is in a neck brace for 6 weeks. Thank goodness he’s okay, and besides a stolen car, this was the only major incident this year.
Next year we will give you a behind the scenes tour of Pancakes Headquarters, up by Checkpoint 2, before we three-peat as 1st place B. 😉
