What is your job and its responsibilities?

I have multiple jobs: I work for the best beer company in the world: MillerCoors, as a business transformation systems resource leading various sub processes including inventory management, quality management and manufacturing integration testing. I am also a dynamic “effective communication” coach helping young students and ambitious professionals become recognized leaders by mastering the art of effective communication and networking. My most important job is being a mother of one college sophomore and one college bound high school junior!

How long have you lived in Milwaukee & what brought you here?

In 2010, I moved to Milwaukee for the second time after initially living here in 2003 through 2006. I have truly experienced fulfillment living here over the past five years! I moved here both times through career opportunities and plan to always have a home in Milwaukee – We now have two Chic-Fil-A restaurants and Mayfair Mall recently broke ground for the Nordstrom store. I am completely sold on Milwaukee!

What strikes you as the most unique thing about Milwaukee?

I am still amazed that regardless of how much snow hits Milwaukee that our productivity rate is rarely impacted. I feel at times a blizzard has to come before the city considers shutting down – but that’s not a bad thing because the salt trucks and snow plows are seen everywhere before the initial snowflake hits the ground – we (Milwaukeeans) just throw on our ten layers of clothes and keep it moving!

What is your favorite Milwaukee beer?

Oh that’s easy. It’s a tie between Miller Lite and Miller High Life.

How does Milwaukee vary from other cities you’ve lived in/visited?

There is a resilient unity among new and established professionals in Milwaukee that is swiftly driving a valuable network of future leaders. Milwaukee is one of the few larger cites that not only offers various social networks such as NEWaukee, Fuel, Social X MKE but also collaborates with these networks. Milwaukee social networks are becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Where do you see Milwaukee in five years?

Milwaukee will be the “go to” city for emerging professionals and innovative entrepreneurs based on the existing and upcoming developments in Milwaukee. There is a significant desire across working professionals to reside in area where work, play and sleep are in very close proximity. Milwaukee is positioning itself to be very attractive to this growing population. I can’t wait to jump on a streetcar and head to the new arena downtown to watch the Milwaukee Bucks win another playoff series. That is the kind of future I see for Milwaukee!
