Construction of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design’s new six-story residence hall, Two50Two (252 E. Menomonee St.) in the Historic Third Ward is nearing completion. Designed by Historic Third Ward architectural firm Engberg Anderson, when complete it will be home to 310 students and include two retail stalls. A 4,000 square-foot stall is leased to Blick Art Supply.

General Capital Group, is developing the residence hall, but the facility will be managed by MIAD. The facility is planned to open in fall 2014.

There will be four students sharing each of the 75 two-bedroom suites.  The suites will include a living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms.

Our photos show that the building has now reached its maximum height of six-stories.  We’ve included the rendering to help visualize the completed building.
