Crowd Cheers for Comics
Collector Troy Freund displays his comics collection at unusual Bay View gallery space.
It was an unusual gathering in Bay View on Saturday, May 4th. Milwaukee photographer Troy Freund, a longtime comic books collector, kicked off the opening of his art exhibition, “Spoilers,” with dramatic readings from a selection of scenes by both national and local comic book creators and authors. The exhibition consists of original artwork by a number of comic book artists and the opening was at Z Chiropractic (2331 S. Kinnickinnic) in Bay View, which periodically opens its space to exhibitions. This show runs through May 24 at the shop.
